Richard Gregorie

Managing Director

Richard Gregorie is a Managing Director at Holder Partners and a nationally recognized former federal prosecutor with more than 40 years of experience in the U.S. Department of Justice. He has led some of the most complex prosecutions in U.S. history, including cases against foreign heads of state and international drug trafficking organizations, such as Panamanian General Manuel Noriega and leaders of the Medellín Cartel.

Richard joined the Southern District of Florida U.S. Attorney’s Office in 1982 as Chief of Narcotics and later served as Senior Litigation Counsel, Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney, and Chief of the Criminal Division. His trial experience spans terrorism, public corruption, money laundering, and fraud. He has trained and mentored prosecutors at the DOJ National Advocacy Center and authored the “Charging Decisions” chapter in the DOJ’s Federal Narcotics Prosecution Manual. Richard has also served as an adjunct professor at Shepard Broad College of Law, Nova Southeastern University, and lectured extensively at law schools and professional associations.

He is a three-time recipient of the Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award and was named Outstanding Assistant U.S. Attorney by the National Association of Former U.S. Attorneys. Richard is recognized as an authority on money laundering, extraterritorial jurisdiction, RICO, and multi-object conspiracies and has testified before U.S. Congressional committees. His insights have been featured in Frontline, PBS NewsHour, Nightline, 60 Minutes, and The Today Show.
